This multi-port valve is a replacement for the Hayward SP0714T Vari-Flo XL Valve and it is used for Hayward Sand Filters such as S166T, S180T, S210T, S220T and S244T. It features an easy-to-use lever action handle that lets you dial up to seven valve/ filter functions: filter, backwash, waste, rinse, closed, winterize or recirculate. Turn Off the Pump & Drain the System – Before starting, ensure the pool pump is off and drain any water from the filter system to prevent leaks. Install the New Valve – Secure the new valve onto the filter, reconnect the plumbing, and ensure all connections are tight. Test the System – Turn the pump back on, check for leaks, and ensure the valve is functioning correctly.
