Swimline 71233 1/3 HP Integrated 12-Inch Sand Filter System 1980 GPH. The Swimline 71233 1/3 HP Integrated 12-Inch Sand Filter System 1980 GPH is a complete and ready-to-install sand filter system. Rated with a 0.33 horsepower motor that can utilize a 1980 gallon per hour (GPH) capacity pump. A 12-inch diameter tank is also included that is manufactured with blow-molded Polyethylene material that will never rust. This tank can hold a maximum of 42-lb sand capacity. A thick bed of special-grade sand is used and during its operation, dirty water from the pool passes through the inlet pipes of the filter which goes all the way to the water distribution head inside the tank. Gravity will pull the water down through the sand and all the tiny sand particles will catch any dirt and debris. Then, filtered water will flow from the bottom of the tank going through the outlet pipe. A debris trap with a see-thru cover is also included so you can easily check it during maintenance. Other features include a 4-way valve for Filter, Backwash, Rinse, and Waste operations. Two (2) 1-1/4-inch diameter filter connection hoses and 1 valve to pump connection hose are also included. Completing this system are the pump and tank base, pressure gauge, hose clamps, drain plug, Teflon tape, and essential hardware.
