The Hayward Vari-Flo Multiport DE Filter Valve SP0715XR50 is a quality-made replacement valve for Hayward Pro Grid DE filters. It installs into 2 plumbing. Featuring six positions, including Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Closed, and Recirculate that maximize normal filtration and flow reversal for enhanced performance. Turn Off the Pump & Drain the System – Before starting, ensure the pool pump is off and drain any water from the filter system to prevent leaks. Remove the Old Valve – Disconnect the plumbing lines and unscrew the unions attaching the old valve to the filter. Install the New Valve – Secure the new valve onto the filter, reconnect the plumbing, and ensure all connections are tight. Test the System – Turn the pump back on, check for leaks, and ensure the valve is functioning correctly.
