The Hayward S200 High Rate In-Ground Swimming Pool Sand Filter 44 GPM with Valve offers a high-performance, totally corrosion-proof filter that combines superior filtration and features with ease of operation. This high-rate sand filtration system is recommended for pools up to 21,000 gallons, as well as in-ground spas and water features such as fish ponds and water gardens. It has a durable 6-inch threaded inspection cover that provides convenient access to top of the filter. Top diffuser assures even distribution of water over the top of the sand media bed. All internal piping is 2 inches to give smooth, free-flowing performance. Corrosion-proof, heavy-duty filter tank is injection molded of tough, durable ABS plastic for dependable all-weather performance. The bolted center flange provides extra strength and securely fastens tank top and bottom together, allowing access to all internal components. Features a 6-position Hayward VariFlo control valve with easy-to-use lever-action handle lets you dial any of the seven filter functions. An integral sight glass lets you see when backwash cycle is completed and precision-engineered umbrella-folding, self-cleaning laterals allow for balanced flow and backwashing, plus easy serviceability. Filter type: High rate, No. 20 silica sand (0.45mm 0.55mm). Filter tank: Molded ABS. Underdrain: 360 degrees self-cleaning slotted laterals. Control valve: 2 inch or 1.5 inch 6-Position VariFlo Valve. May also be plumbed singularly or in series with quick disconnect union couplings (less valve). Design flow rate: 44 GPM. Maximum working pressure: 50 PSI. Pressure loss at design flow rate: 3.7 PSI. Effective filtration area: 2.20 square feet (based on 20 GPM per foot). Support base: Injection-Molded Polymer.
