Ensure the multiport valve is compatible with your pool filter. Turn Off the Pump & Drain the System – Before starting, ensure the pool pump is off and drain any water from the filter system to prevent leaks. Remove the Old Valve – Disconnect the plumbing lines and unscrew the unions attaching the old valve to the filter. Install the New Valve – Secure the new valve onto the filter, reconnect the plumbing, and ensure all connections are tight. Test the System – Turn the pump back on, check for leaks, and ensure the valve is functioning correctly. Turn Off The Pump: Never shift the valve handle while the pool pump is running! Changing positions under pressure will unseat and tear the internal spider gasket, causing continuous leaks out of your waste line. Lubrication is Key: Use the silicone grease on all O-rings and threaded fittings during assembly. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants (like Vaseline), as they will eat away at the rubber seals over time. We recommend professional installation.
